Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring the comfort of our patients. Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform basic dental laboratory tasks, such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Provide oral hygiene instructions to patients
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new supplies as needed
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records
- Provide support to front office staff as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Current certification in dental assisting preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols
- Proficient in taking vital signs and patient assessment
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
